Purpose of the equipment:
Elastic sleeve-pin modernized couplings are designed to transmit torque from the drive motor to the pump in horizontal pump units.
Design features of the equipment:
- The coupling consists of two coupling hubs, pins fixed in one coupling half, which interact with the other coupling half.
- The driving and driven coupling halves are installed at the ends of the electric motor and pump shafts. On the motor side, a keyed connection is used, on the pump side, a connection is made using a clamping element.
- Both coupling halves are connected by fingers. Rubber finger rings dampen vibrations and vibrations that occur on the drive shaft and to some extent compensate for dynamic loads during starting and braking. Coupling halves are tightened with nuts.
